The Dorset Chamber (DCCI) is hosting their "Manufacturing Opportunities Event" at AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday 13th September 2011. Faith will be presenting on how companies can benefit from "Business Continuity" plans.

The Groveley Group, located in Christchurch Dorset, have successfully obtained ISO 14001 certification.

The process of implementation started last October and was part funded by Businesslink's IYRE (Improve Your Resource Efficiency) project.  Anne project managed the integration process and through working together produced an Environmental Management System which integrated into Groveley's existing Quality Management System.  

Successful certification was gained through ISOQAR in May 2011.

We have successfully helped Batchelor Electrical successfully obtain MCS certification. 

The MCS Certification Scheme is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme which demonstrates commitment to meeting rigorous and tested standards.  The scheme has been designed with input from both installer and product representative.

Similar to the Gas Safe Register, the MCS gives a mark of competency and demonstrates installations to the highest quality every time.

Additionally in order to be eligible for the Feed-in tariff (the guaranteed payment to householders, businesses and communities for small scale electricity generation) both the technology and the installer must be MCS certified.

Great news - IYRE (Improve Your Resource Efficiency) funding has been extended for the next financial year. 

If you are looking to reduce your carbon emissions and improve your environmental performance you may be entitled to funding via this initiative, provided via Business Link.  If you're looking to implement ISO14001 then this may be a cost effective way of achieving certification.

Faith and Anne had great fun raising money for the Rotary Club of Wimborne on Saturday 30th October.  We joined forces with our PDC colleges in The Wimborne Swimathon 2010 and swam 74 lengths between us in 45 minutes.... the best team in our session! 

Over 200 swimmers took part to raise money for a range of charities, and nearly £9000 was pledged on the night.

Guarantee Laundries Ltd are really grateful to the RDA team for their help and guidance which has enabled them to achieve a fully integrated management system. 

We are delighted to have been appointed by local Christchurch firm, Groveley to integrate the requirements of ISO14001 into their existing ISO9001 system.  Funding was successfully secured for the project and the company hope to gain certification by mid 2011.

RDA Consultancy have successfully helped the Osmond Group gain recertification for their integrated ISO9001 and ISO14001 Management System.  We have worked alongside the Osmond Group for the last 4 years, firstly implementing the system, and then ensuring their system continued to reflect their current business procedures and processes, through conducting internal auditing and giving general business support.  The business has continued to go from strength to strength, and we are proud to have been supporting throughout.   

Poole based Autoclave and Industrial Controls (AIC) have successfully had their Environmental Management System certified against ISO14001 by LRQA.  Initially in 2008 the RDA team were used to help AIC implement their Quality Management System against ISO9001.  AIC identified the business advantages of also obtaining ISO14001 and asked for assistance again from RDA to complete the project.  The project was successfully complete on time and on budget, and we have since been asked to provide ongoing support to this successful and growing company.

Kfour Development Support Ltd have successfully achieved ISO 9001 certification against their Quality Management System.  Stage 2 was completed on 3 August 2010.  The team at Kfour are delighted to have achieved the standard and have expressed their satisfaction for the level of support they have received from the team at RDA.

Environmental Resource efficiency funding is currently available for businesses based in the South West until the end of December 2013, with emphasis primarily on reducing carbon emissions.  Businesslink have advised us that funding for ISO14001 projects is also falling within this scope, so now is the time to seriously think about certification!

We are on the approved consultants list for Businesslink, so will be able to help you achieve your goals.

Funding is only available for new projects, so your starting point should be to contact Businesslink and they will then arrange for an advisor to meet and talk you through the process.
